Chinese History and Culture Organization

Chinese History and Culture Organization (CHHC) is an organization organized independently by students from middle school and high school. This organization began on August 19th, 2017, which mainly focuses on contributing Chinese culture within the community. As of now, this club has already carried out 33 events with a total of 67 lectures.

Sign Up for Weekly Activity

The club members of Chinese Historty and Culture Club meet every week in club member's house when two of the members will give lectures on topics that they choose to do. Each club members need to complete at least one lecture in a month, which is managed by the president of this club. Click on the hyperlink above to sign up for weekly activity.

Open Lecture

Besides weekly activities at member's house, we also offer public lectures to create a oppurtunity for our lecturers to practice public speaking; moreover, public lectures can spread our passion and enthusiasm toward Chinese culture and history. Every lecturers in CHHC will have the oppurtunities to speak out their opinions publicly for practicing their capability of public speaking. We current hosted one open lecture at IvyMax, Palo Alto. Paly Link Translation

Several CHHC club members participate in Paly Link translation volunteer, which contributes to translate shcool news from English to Chinese. Through participating in this activity, students can have volunteer hours in order to meet the standard for college application. Chinese Corner

Sign Up for Chinese Corner

Chinese Corner gives great oppurtunity and environment for people whose first language is not Chinese to practice their language skills, such as speaking and listening in daily life. Everyone here gets chance to communicate with a native speaker. This activity is completely FREE, and it is held by club lecturers. AP & SAT II Chinese Tutor

CHHC offers SAT II and AP Chinese FREE tutors for helping students who are preparing for exams. These tutors are Chinese native speakers, so they have a lot of experiences to crack problems within these tests. All of tutors are able to score 5 on AP Chinese exam and 800 on SAT II Chinese exam. Many of them have already taken the exams and seen questions on the test. They can effectively solve problems for students and teach them tricks of how to solve problems quickly. Chinese Poetry Recitation

The Chinese Poetry Recitation was established by parents of club members, who wish their children to learn Chinese by reciting traditional Chinese poems. There are currently 10 families who joint the group. This group is seperated from CHHC open lectures and weekly activities, which means that people who join this group do not need to attend any activities within CHHC.
